FUBAR.

Sorry, but this whole thing is just bizarre. Who's to say in another few days we won't be seeing a headline, "Chinese government accused of claiming cardboard buns story fake, to assuage concerns over Chinese food imports. I mean really, can you believe anything you read in the news? Probably not. Not even the first sentence in this headline. But that last sentence is safe to believe."

I completely trust the Chinese government when it says something is not true. Or true.

Also, if that reporter really did fabricate that story, why did he make it so... not at all shocking, in light of actually much scarier stuff that happens all the time in China? Cardboard is not even dirty. It's extra roughage!

It's not like pork buns are good for you, anyway.

To sum up: I am anti-censorship and repressive government regimes; I am pro-cardboard-as-food.

I meant to say, "I completely trust the Chinese government when it says something is not true. Or true. Or simultaneously true and not true."
